iCanHelpline.org is rapid social media help and know-how for schools’ cyberbullying incidents. Like any helpline, we customize the help to whatever the incident is – harassment, threats, conflict, cyberbullying, nude content, etc. If it’s harming or threatening harm to a K-12 student, we can help get it taken down quickly.
We help you…
- Navigate students’ top apps & social media services
- Report content that’s harmful to students
- Delete cyberbullying and harassment
- Get a handle on the digital part of school incident response.
We can do this because of our work with the social media apps and services students use most – Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Kik, YouTube, Musical.ly, Facebook, etc. – since their early days in the last decade. No other school-serving organization provides this service.
Issues we’ve helped with: Since we launched the helpline pilot in August 2015, we’ve helped get content involving harassment, impersonation, cyberbullying, threats, conflict and nudity deleted. For examples of cases we’ve worked on, click here.
We piloted this service in California, Georgia and Washington State during the 2015-’16 school year, with great results. See our Testimonials page.
Who calls us? So far, mostly middle and high school administrators, counselors and student advisers. We’ve also helped district staff and school resource officers.
